There were two simultaneous eliminations in the second hand of hand-for-hand play, and they both resulted in eliminations to burst the Money Bubble and leave 349 players to bag chips for Day 2. The chipleader for Day 1C is Eric Chang, who finished with 1,392,000 (139 big blinds).

There were 2,802 entries on Day 1C, increasing the total field size to 5,805. The prizepool is worth more than $5.6 million, easily surpassing the $5 million guarantee with one more starting flight to go. Day 1D begins tomorrow at 11:00 am, and registration remains open with a single re-entry until the end of the dinner break (around 7:00 pm).
