Photo:  Demo Kiriopoulos outlasted a field of 602 to win this event last year, earning CAD $517,424 (~US $382,894).

No player in the 18-season history of the World Poker Tour has ever successfully defended their title the following year, but Demo Kiriopoulos has a chance to become the first. He is second in chips with 3.86 million (97 big blinds), and he has been sitting on a comfortable chip stack all day.

Speaking of WPT history, only five players have ever won three or more WPT titles, and tomorrow, Eric Afriat could join that elite club. Afriat won the WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown back in 2014 to earn $1,081,184, and followed that up by winning the 2018 WPT Borgata Winter Poker Open to earn $651,928.

Day 3 begins tomorrow (Sunday) at 12:00 noon EST, and they will play all the way down to a winner. Return to WPT.com for continuing live coverage from the WPT Fallsview Poker Classic.
