Day 2 of the WPT L.A. Poker Classic Close to Kicking Off

Day 2 of the WPT L.A. Poker Classic starts this afternoon inside Commerce Casino where 328 players return from a starting field of 523. Registration is open until 3:30 pm today and the field should grow close to 550 by the time the cage closes.

Blake Bohn bagged the chip lead with 202,400. Cord Garcia (145,600), Joseph Cheong (135,000), and Cary Katz (128,700) are all within striking distance and looking to make their move up the leaderboard heading toward Monday’s Day 3. A full list of the Day 2 seat draw can be found here.

As you might imagine in a $10,000 freezeout event, the leaderboard is packed with WPT Champions Club members. Season XVI WPT Tournament of Champions runner-up Matas Cimbolas (127,600), Season XI WPT LAPC winner Paul Klann (125,500), Season XVII bestbet Bounty Scramble gold medalist Tony Tran (125,500), Taylor Paur (120,700), and Victor Ramdin (120,000) are all trending high when bags open on Day 2.

ClubWPT qualifier Steve Kintzel bagged 31,300 and added another great story to his WPT experience after playing with Mike Sexton, Billy Baxter, Ray Qartomy, Will Failla, Asher Conniff, and Matthew Wantman on Day 1.

Day 2 at Commerce Casino kicks off at 12 p.m. PT and plays for five 90-minute levels before all surviving players bag for Day 3. The winner of this event receives a seat into the season-ending WPT Baccarat Crystal WPT Tournament of Champions and a Hublot Big Bang Steel Ceramic watch. The final table takes place on March 11 at HyperX Esports Arena in Las Vegas.
