Day 3 Ends with Brian Kim Leading the Final 30 Players

Day 3 of the WPT Five Diamond World Poker Classic began with 95 players, and start-of-day chipleader Brian Kim was at or near the top of the leaderboard all day long, finishing with 2,330,000 to claim the top spot once again.

There are 30 players who survived to Day 3, and the full list of official chip counts can be found by clicking here. Here’s a look at the top five:

2.  Mike Vanier  –  2,290,000  (153 bb)
3.  Ren Lin  –  2,195,000  (146 bb)
4.  Chad Eveslage  –  2,020,000  (135 bb)
5.  Dan Colpoys  –  1,550,000  (103 bb)

The field reached the Money Bubble during the second level of play today, and it was a very long bubble, taking 17 hands to eliminate two players — Cary Katz busted in 74th place in Hand #15, and Brian Rast busted in 73rd place in Hand #17.

The final 72 players made it to the money, guaranteed at least $19,050 each. The most notable players who cashed but didn’t survive were WPT Ambassadors Brad Owen (54th place) and Andrew Neeme (43rd place), along with talk-of-the-poker-world Robbi Jade Lew, who finished 49th.
