Day 3 of WPT Championship Event Delivers Dramatic Eliminations and Epic Victories

The highly anticipated Day 3 of the WPT Main Event began with 79 remaining contenders facing off in one of the tournament’s most pivotal stages. The tension was palpable, with every decision holding the weight of survival or elimination.

The day’s action came to a dramatic conclusion with 24 players advancing to Day 4. Among the standouts was Dong Li, who topped the leaderboard with a towering 4,500,000 chips, securing his place as the chip leader.

A crucial moment saw Japan’s Yukako Hiroi go head-to-head with 2023 WPT Main Event runner-up Valeriy Pak. With two pairs, Hiroi sealed the deal, eliminating Pak in 25th place

The final 24 players feature Japan’s Yukako Hiroi, Kimura Takeo, and Matahira Andrew Tomaya, along with Sergei Jie from Russia. Adding to the Day 4 excitement, Julie Zhu remains one of the last two women still in the running.

Meanwhile, the Mystery Bounty event brought endless thrills as Li Xinhong took home the largest bounty and secured the side event championship event title. This victory marks his second trophy of the festival, following his win in the Pot Limit Omaha event—a truly spectacular run!

Shiina Okamoto, the WSOP 2024 Ladies Champion, made history yet again as she became the second female champion crowned at the 2024 WPT Korea. As the only lady to battle it out to the finish line, she claimed the title in #25 Win the Button – Hyper Turbo NLH and a well-earned prize of KRW11,104,000. Ladies truly are unstoppable this year!
