Academy Award-nominated actor James Wood is in the big blind when he gets it all-in preflop with the player under the gun for Woods’ last 44,525 with Woods holding KK to his opponent’s KK.
It looks like a chop, but the QJ3 flop gives Woods a shot at a flush and he picks up the flush draw with the 9 on the turn. The river brings the 10, completing Woods’ flush and sending the table intpo an uproar.
Woods profusely apologizes to his opponent, repeatedly admitting it was a really gross beat, but the pot does put the actor and poker enthusiast in great position as Day 1A draws to a close.
