Dong Chen Wins Big at WPT Korea Super High Roller, Championship Event Final Six Fight for KRW300M!

WPT Korea Championship is almost comes to the end, the spotlight shone brightly on Dong Chen from Ningbo, China, as he won the prestigious Super High Roller title. This event, which attracted a field of 40 elite entries, featured some of the biggest names in poker world, including Japanese high roller regular Koichi Chiba and WSOP regular Joseph Cheong, both of them made into the non-official final table of 9 players.

In an electrifying heads-up duel, Dong Chen battled against Mongolia’s Bayar Saran. The two eventually struck an ICM deal, with Chen holding the chip lead and seizing the victory. This milestone triumph earned Chen his first WPT Korea championship trophy and the coveted WPT High Roller ring of the series. The Super High Roller event, marked by a high-stakes lineup and exceptional gameplay, has solidified its place as a highlight of this year’s WPT Korea festival, building anticipation for a thrilling conclusion to the series.

WPT Korea Main Event Day 4 unfolded at lightning speed as players brought out their most aggressive tactics. Feng Xiang narrowly missed the final table, claiming the bubble boy title and taking home KRW27,000,000. Leading the charge into the final six is chip leader Li Dong, who has consistently dominated the field from start to the end.

The competition saw fierce eliminations, with Japanese player Andrew Matahira exiting in 9th place (KRW 27,000,000), followed by Zhikang Dai in 8th place (KRW 33,000,000), and Hongshuang Hu finishing in 7th.

Here are the six finalists who will battle it out on the final day of the WPT Korea Main Event, five of them are newcomers for WPT korea:

Li Yong – An engineer from Suzhou, China, showcasing his analytical prowess at the table.

Guan Dingding – A newcomer from Nantong, China, making an incredible debut by reaching the final table in his first-ever WPT series.

Takeo Kimura – A recreational player from Kansai, Japan, with 8 years of poker experience, ready to bring his A-game to the biggest stage.

Lin Bao Jie – The youngest contender in the final six, hailing from Xiamen, China, and proving age is no barrier to success.

Miao Chenxiang – A highly accomplished player in this lineup, aiming to add another championship title to his impressive track record.

Li Dong – The chip leader from Hangzhou, China, who has dominated the field so far and enters the final day as the one to beat.
