Shawn Cunix raises to 1,300 from middle position and gets two callers to his left including Jay Romano. It folds to the blinds both of whom call as well, with Ryan Eriquezzo playing from the small blind.
The flop comes [As][Ks][9d]. It checks to Cunix who continues for 3,600. Romano calls and it folds to Eriquezzo who calls as does the big blind. The turn then brings the [5s]. Eriquezzo checks, then the big blind pushes all in for more than 30,000. Cunix folds his hand, then Romano tanks for some time before calling the big bet and leaving himself about 20,000 behind. The action back on Eriquezzo, he pushes all in, and Romano calls off the last of his stack.
The three players reveal their cards to show all had turned flushes. The big blind had [8s][4s], Romano [10s][6s], and Eriquezzo was showing the nuts with his [Qs][3s].
"They’re dead?" asks Eriquezzo, and indeed both of his opponents are drawing dead, making the [Kd] river card inconsequential. However, fifth street becomes a little more interesting when Cunix shares with the table that he had folded ace-king.
Two more players hit the rail, and Eriquezzo storms into the chip lead as they approach the midpoint of Level 7.
Ryan Eriquezzo – 168,000
Shawn Cunix – 74,000
Jay Romano – Eliminated
