Pictured: Day 1A Chipleader Fabio Peluso
The first flight of WPTDeepStacks Amsterdam was a huge success, exceeding all expectations with a monstrous 365 entry turnout. Once the last chance saloon had closed for business, only 46 were left in the field and it was Italy’s Fabio Peluso leading the way after a pure run of cards to end the night.
The official list will be released later tonight, but here is a look at the top stacks to bag on Day 1A:
Fabio Peluso – 691,000 (86 bb)
Tom Vogelsang – 603,000 (75 bb)
Firat Baltaci – 590,000 (74 bb)
Maxime Costas – 564,000 (71 bb)
Daniel Pastor – 495,000 (62 bb)
The Day 1A survivors will be rocking a healthy 238,043 average stack into Day 2, which will take place March 31, at noon. The second and final starting flight begins tomorrow at 12:30 pm and will play down until the money has been reached, with all Day 1B survivors joining that of today’s flight on Thursday for the second day of this event.
