Faraz Jaka (pictured) loses a flip against Steven Stahursky when his A-K fails to catch up to Stahursky’s Q-Q. That leaves Jaka with fewer than two big blinds.
Mohsin Charania moves all in from the hijack for about 395,000, and Jaka calls all in from the small blind for about 30,000 with 94. Charania turns over AJ, and Jaka needs to improve to stay alive.
The board comes K523J — Jaka turns an open-ended straight draw, but improves no further. Charania wins the pot with a pair of jacks to eliminate Jaka from the tournament.
Mohsin Charania – 440,000 (22 bb)
Faraz Jaka – Eliminated in 52nd Place ($13,750)
Jaka has mounted an incredible comeback from Day 2, when he was knocked down to a single big blind a couple hours before the field hit the money. But Jaka bounced back to survive, making it all the way to 52nd place before he was knocked out.
