Fenner and Lamberti Also Spotted

As it’s a who’s who of poker in South Africa we can only expect to see more and more players surface that are known in the local community.

Just now we spotted Daniel Lamberti and Rob Fenner, two accomplished players from Johannesburg. Fenner made a name for himself by winning the WSOP Circuit Event high roller in 2012 for $97,000, and finishing third in the WPT Johannesburg event in 2013 for $59,634.

The 2013 WPT Johannesburg event was won by Daniel Brits, but while we haven’t seen him yet we already spotted Eugene Du-Plessis, the runner up, and Ben Cade who finished 18th in that event.

Lamberti had his biggest success in 2012 when he won the Silverstar Poker Challenge in Johannesburg for $34,089, preceeed by a runner-up finish in the Emerald Poker Series for $39,568 in 2010.
