Seat 3. David Ormsby
Canadian David Ormsby won his first WPT title at the WPT Fallsview Poker Classic last season, and it was also good for $278,537 in prize money. Ormsby is primarily a $10-$20 and $20-$40 hold’em cash game player at the Bellagio in Las Vegas, so he rarely jumps into tournaments.
“It’s crazy, I didn’t even think it was possible. I just played the tournament last minute, and didn’t really expect to go that far because I always bust in tournaments. This time I won all of the flips I guess,” said Ormsby right after his big win at the Fallsview Casino Resort in Niagara Falls.
The 27-year-old cashed at the WPT Fallsview Poker Classic again this season, taking 49th place. His career WPT earnings stand at $285,793. He enters the final table in fifth chip-position. The Kanata, Ontario resident holds total live earnings of $439,459.
