Francois Billard Hits the Turn to Double Off John Krpan

May 18, 2024

Four players see a flop of Spade AHeart QHeart 5 when Francois Billard moves all in for 13,800 in early position. John Krpan calls in the hijack and turns over his hand without realizing there are still players left to act. Everyone else folds.

“Now you can show,” the dealer instructs him, and Krpan turns over Club AHeart J for top pair. Billard has Heart KHeart 8 for a flush draw, and the Heart 10 on the turn completes his flush.

The river is the Spade 10 and Billard doubles up.

“Write that I’m the chip leader at the table,” Krpan points out as he still has around 100,000 despite dropping that pot.

John Krpan- 100,000 (125 bb)
Francois Billard- 40,000 (50 bb)
