Frank Gregory Check-Raises the River

With about 100,000 in the pot already, on a board reading , Frank Gregory checks from the big blind. Amir Babakhani is in the cutoff, and bets 45,000.

Gregory asks, “How much? Will you show if I fold?” Babakhani does not respond. After a moment, Gregory pushes out a check-raise to 145,000. Babakhani asks, “One hundred more?” The dealer confirms the total. Gregory says, “He didn’t snap-call. That’s a good thing.”

After about a minute, Babakhani calls. Gregory tables  for a straight, and Babakhani mucks his cards.
