Frank Kassela Doubles Thru Mari Lou Morelli

Action folds to Mari Lou Morelli on the button and she raises to 1,000. Frank Kassela is in the small blind and reraises to 3,000 total.  Morelli thinks a minute, then tosses out enough orange 5,000 chips to put Kassela all-in for his 16,575-chip stack.

Kassela shrugs, then calls with [Ad10c], which trails Morelli’s [AhQd].  The [Js8c2s] flop keeps Morelli out front, but the [10s] on the turn pairs Kasella up to give him the advantage in the hand.  The river is the [8h] and Kassela takes the pot to double up.

Two years ago, Morelli came very close to making the LA Poker Classic final table, surviving until the penultimate day of play before busting out in 11th place.
