About five seconds later, Linares calls with for a ten-high straight. The player in the small blind turns over for a set of nines, and Linares needs his hand to hold to stay alive.
The river card is the , and there is a brief moment of confusion as both players celebrate — the player in the small blind didn’t see that Linares already had the straight, and thought his set of nines was the best hand. But Linares wins the pot to double up in chips.
