Tobias Peters raised to 44,000 from the cutoff. Fredrick Andersson called from the button, as did Pim van Wassenberg from the small blind.
The flop came and all three players checked. The turn brought the and Van Wassenberg bet 78,000. Peters folded and Andersson called.
The river was the and Van Wassenberg cut out a bet of 235,000 into a pot of around 300,000.
“Do you have a straight?” asked Andersson as he went deep into the tank. The Swede has built up a dominating chip lead well in excess of 1,000,000 chips but here he was facing a decision with Van Wassenberg leaving himself barely 200,000 behind.
Eventually Andersson called and Van Wessenberg announced straight. Andersson mucked, while Tobias Peters remarked that he had folded pocket Eights.
