German TV is Following Beth Shak

When Beth Shak showed up to the tournament today, she was followed by a German TV crew from RTL, one of the largest TV production companies in Europe. They are filming Beth as part of a show that is similar to "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous."

Beth says that she’s actually had offers from several different TV shows, but turned them down if she didn’t have enough control over her own life. This one seemed like a good fit to her, so she accepted.

The TV cameras aren’t covering her constantly. They followed her through the start of the tournament, and recorded some footage of her playing during the first level. We haven’t seen them since, but we expect they’ll return as Beth Shak goes deeper into the tournament.
