Great Start for Rousso

Krisen Sakadavan limped under the gun and the action folded to Jan who raised to 4,600 from the cutoff. Vanessa Rousso was seated in the big blind, and the dealer seperated her from Sakadavan.

Rousso hadn’t seen Sakadavan’s limp, but she raised to 14,600.

Sakadavan made the call and Jan folded, after which Rousso thought she had won the hand.

“You want to see?” she asked Jan, after which the other players at the table pointed out that she had indeed been called.

“Oh wow, I hadn’t even seen him, I’m so sorry,” Rousso said, as the dealer put K9T out on the flop.

Rousso bet 8,500 on the flop and her opponent made the call. The turn brought the T and now both players checked. On the river the J hit and Rousso fired out 10,000.

Sakadavan made the call and Rousso showed QQ and managed to rake in a big pot. She’s now sitting on 85,000, Sakadavan is down to 16,000.
