Ryan Julius raises to 225 from middle position and reigning LA Poker Classic Champ Gregory Brooks reraises to 725 from the cutoff.  Action folds back around to Julius and he calls.

The flop comes [4d4h2c] and Julius check-calls a bet of 600 from Brooks.  The turn brings the [6c] and Julus checks again.  Brooks bets 1,300 and Julius calls.

The river is the [8c] and Julius checks a third time.  Brooks bets 2,700 and Julus thinks a minute before calling.

Brooks turns over [KcKs] for two pair, kings and fours.  Julius shoves his hand into the muck and Brooks takes the pot.

The reigning champ has been out of commission from the poker world for several months now, but he seems to be faring just fine so far in his attempt to defend his title.
