WPT Champions Club members are dropping like flies. First we lost Roberto Romanello and now we have lost Guillaume Darcourt. We didn’t see the hand but have received the following information from one of our French colleagues.
Darcourt raises to 400 from early position, and there is one caller before Kastle three-bets to 2,150 in the big blind. Darcourt is the only player to make the call and before you can say, "boo," the pair are staring at a flop of [Qs] [8d] [4h]. Kastle then surprised Darcourt by open shoving for 15,000 and after some thought Darcourt calls. Kastle turns over [Ad] [Kc] for the semi-bluff and Darcourt turns over [Ks] [Qh] for top pair. So Kastle was heading out of the door until the [Ac] found it’s way to the felt on fourth street. The [5h] on the river didn’t change a thing and Darcourt was out.
