May 9, 2017

With 15 minutes to go until the players in the WPT Main Event take their scheduled dinner break, Hakim Zoufri is looking to be the likely chip-leader with a stack of nearly 80,000 chips.

In this hand the player in the hijack opened to 500, Zoufri called on the button before the big blind three-bet to 3,000. Both players called.

It checked to Zoufri on the flop of Club 9Heart 6Heart 5 and he bet 4,500. The big blind folded and the initial raiser called.

The turn was the Spade 2 and again it checked to Zoufri who bet 8,575. His opponent called.

The river was the Diamond 7 and Zoufri’s opponent moved all in for around 14,000. Zoufri called.

The all-in player showed Club JHeart J but was soon heading for the exit when Zoufri showed Club 3Diamond 4 for a straight.
