Hand #18: Jaffee's Big River Raise Forces Costa Fold

Hand #18 – Jared Jaffee raises to 85,000 from the cutoff seat, then Margo Costa reraises to 185,000 from the small blind.  It folds back to Jaffee who calls, and the pair watch the flop come [9c][7s][3s]. Costa bets 225,000, and Jaffee calls. The turn brings the [2s] and a bet of 200,000 from Costa, and Jaffee calls once more.

The river is the [2d].  Costa bets again — 300,000 this time — and after about a half-minute Jaffee responds with a raise to 1 mllion.

Costa thinks for more than two minutes before finally letting her hand go, and Jaffee shows his hand — [As][Jd] — as he collects the big pot. At the sight of Jaffee’s cards, Costa says she folded the same hand.
