Hand #28 – Earlier today, a couple players have told Esposito that he wasn’t concealing his cards very well when he looked, creating the possibility that somebody might be able to see them. It wasn’t a big deal, and it’s only mentioned here to provide context.
John Esposito raises under the gun to 50,000, and Gaurav Raina calls from the big blind. Esposito asks, “You didn’t see my cards that time, did you?”
Raina replies, “No, I’m not trying to look at your cards.”
The flop comes , Raina checks, Esposito bets 50,000, and Raina calls.
The turn card is the , Raina checks, Esposito bets 110,000, and Raina folds. Esposito takes the pot.
As he’s stacking his chips, Esposito looks at Raina and says, “Obviously not, or you wouldn’t have called 50K on the flop.”
Raina smiles and says, “Or maybe I did see your hand, and I just called that bet to throw you off.”
