Flowers raises to 330,000, and Benvenuti calls. The flop comes [9s6c5s], Benvenuti checks, Flowers bets 420,000, and Benvenuti moves all in.
Flowers pauses for a second or two and says, "I call."
Benvenuti shows [Qs7s] for a flush draw, gutshot straight draw, with an overcard, and Flowers turns over [9c3d] for top pair. Benvenuti needs to improve to stay alive.
The turn card is the [4c], and Benvenuti catches additional outs with an open-ended straight draw. One side of the room starts chanting, "Rand-all! Rand-all! Rand-all!"
The river card is the [Ah], and Randall Flowers wins the pot — and the tournament — with a pair of nines. Flowers says, "So awesome! I get to hold up nine-three offsuit!" Flowers is referring to his winner’s photo, which will be taken in a few minutes.
Michael Benvenuti finishes as the runner-up, earning $564,200 for second place.
Randal Flowers win the 2010 WPT Festa al Lago at Bellagio, earning $831,500, which includes his $25,500 entry into the season-ending WPT World Championship. Flowers also receives a WPT bracelet and a Bellagio bracelet.
This is the second WPT title for Randal Flowers, who also won the WPT Spanish Championship last season at the age of 20, which made him the youngest WPT champion in history. Now he is the youngest player in history (22 years old) with multiple WPT titles.
Congratulations, Randal Flowers!
