Hand #96 – Vigen Manukyan raises under the gun to 53,000, Prahlad Friedman reraises from the button to 200,000, Manukyan moves all in, and Friedman calls with [QcQd]. Manukyan shows [2d2s], and he’ll need to improve to stay alive.
The board comes [Kh3d3s8d10h], and Prahlad Friedman wins the pot with his pocket queens. Vigen Manukyan is eliminated in seventh place, earning $64,400 and the unfortunate title of WPT Bubble Boy.
Manukyan may have missed out on the million-dollar first prize and a chance to be on TV, but he still did very well for a $100 investment. There was a special $100 satellite here at the Bicycle Casino, which was awarding one seat into the tournament. When Vigen Manukyan made the final table, he was down to a single small blind, but managed to come back and win it — and parlay his entry into $64,400. Congratulations, Vigen Manukyan!
The final six players are now verifying their chip stacks, filling out their WPT bio sheets, and sitting down for interviews with Amanda Leatherman that will be posted later tonight.
Stay tuned for official chip counts in the next few minutes.
