Hands #45-48: Michael Baas Eliminated in 7th Place ($72,358)

Hand #45 – Freddy Deeb has the button in seat 1, and Spadavecchia raises from the cutoff to 120,000, winning the blinds and antes.

Hand #46 – Brett Faustman has the button in seat 2, Baas raises from early position to 80,000, and Faustman calls from the button. The flop comes [10d5c3d], and Baas moves all in for about 130,000. Faustman folds, and Baas shows [Ad7c], for ace high. Faustman says he couldn’t even beat the bluff.

Hand #47 – Men “The Master” Nguyen has the button in seat 4, and everyone folds to Corkins, giving him a walk in the big blind.

Hand #48 – Gabe Costner has the button in seat 5, Deeb raises from early position to 60,000, Nguyen calls from the cutoff, and Baas calls from the big blind. The flop comes [8s5s2h], and Baas moves all in for 334,000. Deeb counts out his chips, and he has about 650,000. He calls, and Nguyen folds.

Deeb shows [10s9s] for a spade flush draw, and Baas shows [9d8h] for a pair of eights. Deeb has the flush draw and one live overcard. The turn card is the [Js], clinching the pot for Deeb with a flush. (The meaningless river card is the [9c].)

Michael Baas is eliminated in seventh place, earning $72,358.

The remaining six players are counting and verifying their chips before they are tagged and bagged for tomorrow’s televised WPT Final Table. Action is scheduled to start at 4:00 pm CT.
