Hands #9-12: Andrew Frankenberger Wins 5 Hands in a Row

Aug 24, 2010

Hand #9  –  Andrew Frankenberger raises from the button to 45,000, winning the blinds and antes.

Hand #10  –  Andrew Frankenberger raises from the cutoff to 45,000, winning the blinds and antes.

Hand #11  –  Andrew Frankenberger raises from late position to about 45,000, and Tom Braband calls from the button. The flop comes [6d4d2s], Frankenberger checks, Braband bets 60,000, and Frankenberger check-raises to 200. Braband folds, and Frankenberger takes the pot.

Hand #12  –  Andrew Frankenberger raises from middle position to 45,000, and Jared Jaffee calls from the button. The flop comes [Kd3c2h], Frankenberger bets 75,000, and Jaffee folds. Frankenberger takes another pot.

That’s now five straight hands that Frankenberger has won. It’s an impressive feat, but he still has a long way to go before he catches Brandon Cantu’s record of winning 17 hands in a row (at WPT Bay 101 in March, 2008).
