In one of the final hands of the last level, Hossein Cheraghi moves all in from UTG+1 for 21,000, Steve Karp calls from middle position, Philippe Dorval moves all in over the top from the hijack for 104,500.
Yunkyu Song moves all in over the top from the cutoff for about 150,000, and Gurtej Toor tanks for a while before he folds from the button.
Karp has about 71,000 behind, and he would have to call all in to stay in the pot. Karp tanks for a while before he folds.
The three all-in players turn over their cards, and here they are in descending order of chip counts:
Yunkyu Song:
Philippe Dorval:
Hossein Cheraghi:
The board comes , and Cheraghi pairs his ten on the flop to pick up some outs, but Dorval pairs his ace on the turn to take the lead, and it holds up for him to win the entire pot, doubling thru Song and eliminating Cheraghi.
Philippe Dorval – 256,000 (128 bb)
Yunkyu Song – 42,000 (21 bb)
Hossein Cheraghi – Eliminated
After the hand, Toor and Karp both claim to have tank-folded with pocket nines. Toor asks Karp if he really had pocket nines, and Karp says, “I swear on my dog’s life.” (Both appear to be sincere in their claims of pocket nines.)
