A player in middle position opened to 400. Jake Cody called, as did the player in the small blind. Hossein Ensan then three-bet from the big blind and Cody was the only caller.
On a flop of Ensan continued for 2,575 and Cody raised to 9,300. Ensan then moved all in for around 35,000 and Cody snap-called.
“Do you have a set?” asked Ensan, and Cody nodded tabling . Cody’s stack was just under 50,000 so Ensan was at risk holding .
The turn was the and the river the and Ensan was eliminated. Cody boosted his chip count to over 85,000 and has nearly tripled his starting stack since he sat down.
Meanwhile Ensan headed to the cash desk to re-enter. Players are allowed one re-entry per day, in addition to a potential fifth entry on Day 2 if needed.
