It was Ciro Koncke who raised from the button to 200,000 and Wesley Wiegand called from the small blind. Hilton Nortje folded his big blind and the flop brought out 8Q3.
Both players checked on the flop and the turn was the 5. Wiegand checked again and Koncke bet 250,000.
Wiegand went into the tank for a bit before check raising to 500,000. Koncke took his time but eventually he called leaving himself with just 400,000 chips behind.
The river brought out the Q and Wiegand bet just 150,000. Koncke folded right away and he’s now the absolute short stack. Wiegand jumps up to 3,550,000 and is our tournament chip leader.
