Husband and Wife Team Deep on Day 1A

Our Portuguese colleagues have pointed out a husband and wife team who are still battling it out late on Day 1A of the WPTDeepStacks Portugal Main Event.

We had already spotted Manuela Serralheiro partly due to her stack well in excess of 150,000 and the fact that she is currently battling it out for the chiplead.

Meanwhile, her husband Jose is on a neighbouring table. Far enough away for him to focus on his own game for times, but close enough that we’ve noticed him casting glances towards his wife’s towering chip stack.

Jose could perhaps benefit from focusing on his own stack for a while, as it’s drifted down to just under 40,000 with just over 90 minutes left in the day.
