Hyon Kim Doubles Thru Dan Martin

With the board showing [Ad][Qh][3s] and about 70,000 already in the middle, Hyon Kim check-calls a bet of 55,000 by Dan Martin. The turn then brings the [Ah]. Kim checks again, and this time Martin declares he is all in.

Martin has Kim well covered, and the latter spends the next half-minute counting out his remaining chips, discovering he has 211,000 left. Finally after thinking a good while Kim calls.

Martin tables his [9h][8h] for a flush draw, and Kim says "Yes, baby!" as he sees he is ahead with his [Qc][10c] for queens and aces. He repeats the exclamation after the [Qs] falls on the river to improve him to a full house. The dealer sweeps the pot Kim’s way, and as he stacks his chips he apologizes to Martin.  "I just was emotional," says Kim.
