With late registration still open for another level it is time for Day 2! A total of 128 players managed to survive the tough first day, as 282 players entered the field. Nortje Hilton leads the way with 233,900 chips, followed by Sunil Devachander who sits on 182,900.
There was a plethora of re-entries on Day 1, and Jarred Solomon was among the leaders with five bullets fired. Solomon however bounced back and bagge up 103,300 chips to end the night. With this in mind we might see some more players today give it another shot as it only takes one good run to pick up some chips.
The plan on Day 2 is to play down to the final table, which is still many miles away. The first level will be 40 minutes in length, after which the remaining levels are all 50 minutes.
Play will resume at 12:00 p.m. local time with top guns Darren Kramer, Raymond Rahme, Shashi Naidoo and Vanessa Rousso all still vying for poker immortality in South Africa. Don’t miss it, it will be a great show.
