Jack-Four, the New Nuts for Daut

Jun 1, 2007

Anything with a Jack seems to be just fine with Ryan Daut. Yesterday, he pushed all-in with J4 off-suit for his tournament life and was called by Chau Giang who showed pocket 10’s. When the board came, A K A K x his jack played and he doubled up. Today, he repeated his jack move.

Sitting under the gun, Daut pushes all-in for 60,000. He’s called by Danny Wong from the cut-off and Barry Greenstein in the small blind.

The flop comes [10c4h4d]. Both side pot players check. Turn is the [8d], check check. River is the [Kc], check check. Immediately, Daut reveals his [Jh4c] for trip fours. Greenstein and Wong muck and Daut sheepishly collects the pot and triples up!
