Joining the pot after the [AhTs9h] flop, action checks to Jacob Bazeley who bets 55,000 into a three-way pot. The player in the middle folds, but Christopher Bolek check-calls to go heads up to the turn.
It’s the [Jh], and both players check.
The river is the [8s], and now Bolek announces he’s all in for Bazeley’s 231,000 effective. Bazeley spends a couple minutes agonizing in the tank, staring up at the ceiling.
Finally, he calls. Bolek rolls over his [8h4h] for a flush, and it’s good.
"Nice hand," Bazeley laments. "Straight on the river," he says quietly, shaking his head. It’s the end of the road for "Bazeman", out in 15th place with a pay jump up to $24,219.
That knockout pot moves Bolek very close to the chip lead, perhaps even into the top spot, with 2.7 million chips. He and Jason Helder are virtually even atop the leaderboard.
