Jaime Staples Triples Up

Jaime Staples filled us in on a key hand he played a short while ago, where he raised, the button reraised, and the small blind moved all in for 134,000. The big blind called, and Staples moved all in over the top for 135,000. The button folded, and the big blind called for a three-way all-in situation.

The board comes — the big blind stayed ahead on the flop and turned an open-ended straight-flush draw, while the small blind had a lower open-ended straight draw. But the offsuit ace on the river gave the entire pot to Staples, knocking out the similarly-stacked small blind and giving Staples a full double up thru the big blind.
