With play three-handed at the final table of the WPTDeepStacks Amsterdam Main Event earlier this year, Jan Jansma got all in against the of Daniyar Aubakirov. For those of you who don’t remember, a flop of gave the Kazakh player two pair, but the on the turn gave Jansma a better two pair, counterfeiting Aubakirov.
However, the on the river gave Aubakirov a full house, and eliminated Jansma in third place.
Today Jansma is playing in Day 1A of the WPTDS Netherlands Main Event, and had racked up an above average stack. He raised to 3,600 in one hand and the player in the cutoff called. Walter van Dalen was in the big blind and three-bet to 10,000. Jansma called and the third player in the hand folded.
The flop came and was ahead of the of Van Dalen.
The turn was a improving Jansma to a full house, but the river was a giving Van Dalen a bigger full house and leaving Jansma shell-shocked.
