Following the bursting of the bubble, a short-stacked Matt Jarvis wins a pot and when the dealer slides the chips to him in Seat 1 the stack passes a little too near the slot for the jackpot box in between them.
At least one chip falls into the box — possibly more — leading to some chuckles and then discussion about how exactly to retrieve it.
The bet, of course, adds a new wrinkle to the situation, thanks the still unsolved mystery of how many of Jarvis’s chips are in the jackpot box.
He’s pushed out 42,000, and Redlitz calls the bet while explaining he understands that Jarvis has also bet whatever is in the jackpot box.
"Let’s bet on how much is in the box," cracks Farhan Madhani.
Before proceeding any further, a key is produced, the box is opened, and a single gray (5,000) chip is found. That goes in the middle as well.
Jarvis has [Kc][Kd] and Redlitz [Qh][Jc], and after the [6h] turn and [8c] river, Jarvis has doubled back up to about 115,000.
