Jason Mercier Eliminated by Andy Rossi

Jason Mercier min-raises from early position to 4,000 (a standard raise at this table), Lee Markholt calls from the small blind, and Andy Rossi calls from the big blind. 

The flop comes [9c6d2s], Markholt bets 6,000, Rossi raises to 16,000, and Mercier reraises to 30,200. Markholt quickly folds, and Rossi calls. 

The turn card is the [4c], Rossi bets 23,000, and Mercier moves all in for 87,700. Rossi asks for an exact count and goes into the tank for several minutes. At this table, everyone has agreed that the winner will show one card, so even if Rossi folds, he’ll get too see one of Mercier’s cards.

Rossi eventually calls with [9h6h] (top two pair), and Mercier turns over [AcAd] for an overpair.

The river card is the [3d], and Rossi wins the pot with his two pair to eliminate Jason Mercier from the tournament in about 39th place.
