Jeff Forrest Starts on the Right Foot

Apr 28, 2012

Four players see a flop of [Qc10c8d]. The players in the small and big blind check and WPT Champions Club member Jeff Forrest bets 600 from middle position. The player on the button calls,  the player in the small blind folds, and the player in the big blind calls.

The turn brings the [3s] and the player in the big blind checks. Forrest bets 1,550, the player on the button calls, and the player in the big blind folds.

The river is the [6h] and both players check.

"You got it," the player on the button tells Forrest.

"I have a queen," Forrest replies as he turns over [Qs7s] for top pair. The other player mucks and Forrest takes the pot.

Forrest is one of several players who opted to skip Day 1A and just take one shot in this event on Day 1B. Some of the other players who adoped this approach to the event. Chris Klodnicki, recent Seminole Hard Rock Showdown runner-up John Dolan, WPT Player of the Year Andy Frankenberger, WPT Champions Club members Mike Scarborough and Tony Ruberto, and Lauren Kling all had the same idea.

Jeff Forrest – 32,500
