Joe Ressler Eliminated on the Money Bubble By Brent Hanks

Aug 28, 2011

Brent Hanks raises from under the gun and action folds around to Joe Ressler in the big blind.  Ressler reraises and Hanks announces he is all-in for around 200,000.

Ressler calls for almost exactly as much and shows [AsKs].  He has Hanks’ [AdQd] in bad shape.

The [8s8d5d] flop gives Hanks a flush draw, but Ressler is still ahead with his king kicked.  Both players pair up with the [Ah] on the turn, and Hanks completes his flush to win the hand.

The dealer counts down the stacks and it turns out Ressler has Hanks covered by just 1,500 chips.

The very next hand, Ressler is all-in in the small blind.  Action folds around to him and he is once again up against Hanks, who is in the big blind.  Hanks holds [Qc3d], while Ressler has [7d9s].

The board runs out [8c5d3h2c10s] and Hanks pairs his trey to take the pot and eliminate Ressler just shy of the money.

Brent Hanks – 405,000 (101 BBs)
Joe Ressler – eliminated
