With the final board showing and about 16,000 already in the pot, Benjamin Nguyen checks from the hijack, and Jonathan Jackson bets 10,000 from the cutoff.
Nguyen goes into the tank, eventually asking, “Why’d you bet so much?”
Jackson smiles and jokingly pulls back one of the 5K chips, as if to reduce his bet to 5,000. (He puts it back, of course.)
Nguyen continues to think, and Jackson says, “It’s up to you, brother. I’ll show you regardless.”
Nguyen says, “I think you’ve got deuces.”
Jackson replies incredulously. “Deuces?”
A short while later, Nguyen calls with a pained look on his face, and Jackson turns over for a set of tens. Nguyen mucks, and Jackson wins the pot.
Jonathan Jackson – 69,000 (345 bb)
Benjamin Nguyen – 38,000 (190 bb)
“I was hoping you had ace-ten,” says Nguyen.
Jackson says, “I wouldn’t have bet that big with ace-ten.”
