Joshua Guindon and Kelvin Ng Chop; Eli Elezra Trusts His Gut

Dec 13, 2024

Joshua Guindon opens to 14,000, Kelvin Ng moves all in for 61,000, and Eli Elezra calls.

But then Guindon moves all in as well for 205,000 and Elezra goes into the tank.

“Agh, I’ve got the hand that everybody hates!” Elezra announces, and after a few more seconds he tosses pocket jacks into the muck,

“No! You have such good odds! He has ace-king!” Another player at the table says, and sure enough, Guindon flips over Club ASpade K and Ng holds Heart AClub K.

But Elezra does not regret his decision, as the flop immediately comes Spade AClub 10Diamond 9 to give both players an ace. Ng and Guindon then chop up the pot after the Diamond 6Spade Q runout.

“See! Us old-school players play with our gut!” Elezra says, patting himself on the back.
