Kalin’s Lead is not Followed

From middle position Ozkan Atalay makes the unconventional play of open-limping and Barny Boatman, to Atalay’s immediate left, limps behind. The next player to call is Michael Friedrich in the small blind and the preflop round is completed when Gennady Kalin checks in the big blind.

The [Ac][Kh][7h] flop is checked by Friedrich, but Kalin does not check behind, instead he leads for 325 and surprisingly this wins the hand as his opponents fold in turn leaving him as the only player contesting the pot.
