Kamran Dargahi and Andrew Mullen Chop a 3-Way Pot with Pocket Aces

Jun 28, 2018

After a raise and a reraise, four players see a flop of Heart KSpade 8Heart 5. There’s a bet and a shove, with three players getting it all in and Jim Agate folding, saying he had jack-ten of hearts for a jack-high flush draw.

Here are the cards for the three all-in players, in descending order of chip counts:

UTG Player:  Diamond KDiamond Q  (pair of kings)
Kamran Dargahi:  Diamond AClub A  (pair of aces)
Andrew Mullen:  Spade AHeart A  (pair of aces)

The turn card is the Club 2, the river card is the Heart 8, and Dargahi and Mullen chop the three-way pot with their pocket aces.

Agate points out that he would have won the pot with a heart flush if he had called on the flop, but says he folded because he heard the line to enter was longer than he was willing to wait if he had busted.

Kamran Dargahi  –  32,000  (160 bb)
Andrew Mullen  –  19,000  (95 bb)
