The biggest flight yet of the $1,150 WPT Prime saw a total of 358 entrants get into the field, bringing the total number of entrants across all three flights up to 845. 107 players have made their way to Day 2 already securing themselves a piece of the already $845,000 CAD in the prize pool with 45 coming from this flight.
At day’s end, it was Bibek Karki who put the most chips in the bag with 947,000, good for second overall in the entire tournament. He was seated at the same table as Rishi Lal Makkar (726,000) who sat behind him on the podium and Matwej Troischanski (635,000) rounded out the podium in their quest to win their first WPT Prime title.
Travis Macmillan won the WPT $500 earlier this week for his first ever six-figure score. He looks to follow up his success with a bag here worth 619,000.
Play ended with 17 minutes left in level 17 which means that play will return to where it was in Day 1A, with 9:34 left in Level 16. Those who did not bag in this flight will have ample opportunity to fire again tomorrow in Day 1D which begins at 12:00 pm.
