Katsuhiro Muto Chipping Up

Katsuhiro Muto

We spoke earlier with Hideki Takafuji and Katsuhiro Muto about their poker travels and how they had come from Japan to play the WPTDeepStacks Portugal.

Muto is still going strong and in this hand watched as a player from under the gun raised to 700 with the blinds at 150/300 with a running ante of 50.

The Japanese player wasted no time in three-betting to 2,000. It folded back around to the original raiser who flashed an Ace on its way to the muck. Muto turned over Heart JSpade J and his opponent nodded.

“Yesterday, no good,” he said, pointing at his stack which was up over 60,000. “Today – much better!”
