Action folds around to Gabriel Abusada (pictured) in the hijack and he open-jams for 275,000. Kevin Garosshen calls in the big blind.

“What?” asks Abusada.

“I have a pair!” responds Garosshen, tabling Spade 10Club 10. Abusada shows Spade 8Diamond 8 and gets up to walk away from the table with frustration.

The board runs out Heart QSpade 7Club 6Spade QHeart 2, leaving Garosshen’s hand best.

“You still have chips,” says tablemate Steve Buckner to Abusada. Garosshen’s stack is counted to be 235,000 and he scores the double, leaving Abusada with just 40,000 behind.

On the very next hand Buckner opens to 65,000 in the cutoff and Garosshen re-jams from the small blind, receiving a quick fold from Buckner to add further to his stack; and moments later, Abusada is eliminated after running X KX 9 into the X KX Q of Rafael Farah Jarufe to bring about his elimination from the tournament.
