Kyte Secures Vital Double-Up

Mar 30, 2018

The player in the cutoff raised to 15,000 and Jon Kyte, who had been searching for a double-up since the bubble burst not long ago, moved all in for 60,000 or exactly ten big blinds.

His opponent tank-called and showed Diamond AHeart 7.

“Why do you have to have that!?” said Kyte, showing Spade ASpade 4, “You’re supposed to have king-six off.”

“We’re gonna need a very black flop, dealer.”

The flop came Spade 7Spade 3Heart K handing Kyte the flush draw he desired. The turn was the Heart 3 and the river the Spade K giving kyte a flush and doubling him up.
